Are you waiting for something outside of you to change before you can feel better?
Change what gives it the power to bother you.
You don't need more insight. You need to change what's underneath the pattern.
UNBOTHERED is a different approach to personal transformation that gets to the root of what's keeping you stuck, so you can stop managing the same problems and start experiencing your life differently.
What if the thing that's bothering you... just didn't anymore?
- Not because you learned how to tolerate it.
- Not because you convinced yourself it shouldn't bother you.
- Not because the other person finally changed.
It genuinely doesn't have the same power over you anymore.
- You think about it differently.
- You feel differently.
- You respond differently.
Sometimes you realize... you haven't thought about it at all.
That's the kind of transformation we're after.

The problem under the problem
The thing you think is the problem probably isn't the problem.
Most of us naturally try to solve the problem we can see.
- Your relationship is making you unhappy, so you try to fix the relationship.
- Your ex keeps triggering you, so you try to get them to stop.
- You hate your job, so you find another one.
- You struggle with boundaries, so you learn what to say.
- You don't feel confident, so you work on your confidence.
- You overthink, so you try to control your thoughts.
Those are logical solutions. And sometimes they're exactly what's needed.
But what happens when you've tried the logical solution... and you're still not free?
- Different relationship.Same feeling.
- Different job.Same self-doubt.
- Better boundary.Same guilt.
- More success.New thing to worry about.
- Different circumstance.Same pattern.
Maybe it's time to stop trying to solve the problem you can see and start changing what's underneath it.
The logical solution
Change the thing that's bothering you.
The UNBOTHERED solution
Change what gives it the power to bother you.
This isn't about pretending circumstances don't matter.
- Sometimes the relationship does need to end.
- The boundary does need to be set.
- The job does need to change.
- The difficult conversation does need to happen.
But what if you could do those things without your internal state being controlled by what happens next?
That's where the deeper work begins.

How this works
We connect the dots.
Something happens today and it creates a reaction. Instead of spending session after session talking about the reaction, I want to know: Why this?
- Why does this person's behavior affect you so deeply?
- Why does saying no make you feel guilty?
- Why does someone's disappointment make you question yourself?
- Why does uncertainty make you feel like you need control?
- Why can you logically know you're enough and still feel like you have something to prove?
We follow what's happening now to the meaning underneath it and ultimately to where that meaning began.
- What's bothering you now?
- Why does it bother you?
- What does it mean to you?
- Where did you learn that?
- Change what's underneath it.
- Experience the present differently.
This is where insight becomes transformation.
You don't have to spend months talking about the same problem
One of my favorite moments happens when a client comes back after we've worked on something that had been deeply upsetting them. I ask about it. And they pause. Sometimes the answer is:
"I haven't even thought about it."That's the moment.
The memory still exists. The person may still be the same person. The situation may not be completely resolved. But something inside the client is different.
And when one of the things that used to bother you no longer carries the same emotional weight, we keep going.
Imagine what becomes possible when the things that once had so much power over you... don't anymore.
That's freedom.

Deep work doesn't have to mean making healing your full-time job.
You don't need another list of things you're failing to do between sessions.
- There is rarely extensive homework.
- You don't need to journal for an hour every morning.
- You don't need to perfectly manage every reaction.
- And you don't need to tell me every detail of what happened to you.
In fact, when we're working with difficult experiences, I often don't want you to. We'll do the deeper work together during our sessions without unnecessarily making you relive everything you've been through.
Between sessions? Live your life.
Notice what's different. Notice what doesn't hit quite as hard.
- The boundary that suddenly feels easier.
- The decision you don't second-guess.
- The conversation you handle differently.
- The thing you would normally obsess over that somehow... you didn't.
You're not practicing how to become someone new. You're allowing yourself to experience who you are without the old pattern running the show.
Life doesn't have to become perfect for you to feel good in it.
This may be one of the biggest lies we unknowingly live by:
I'll be okay when...
- When my relationship gets better.
- When the divorce is over.
- When my ex stops.
- When I find the right person.
- When I make more money.
- When my kids are okay.
- When I figure out my career.
- When my body feels better.
- When life finally settles down.
But there will always be another desire. Another goal. Another relationship to navigate. Another version of yourself you're becoming.
Freedom isn't finally getting your entire life to cooperate. It's no longer requiring it to.
Underneath all of it
The relationship you have with yourself.
Because when the outside world stops having so much power over your internal world, something else becomes louder.
You.
- What you actually want.
- What you know.
- What you value.
- What feels right to you.
- What you will and won't accept.
Who you are when you're no longer organizing your life around fear, approval, proving, pleasing, controlling, or protecting.
- You trust yourself.
- You stand in your truth.
- You have boundaries.
- You make decisions that align with the life you actually want.
- And when something isn't right for you, you can respond to it without losing yourself inside of it.
Your relationship with yourself changes the way you experience every other relationship in your life.

Imagine what's possible when you're no longer carrying all of that.
Not a perfect life. Your life.
- Relationships you don't have to lose yourself to keep.
- Boundaries you don't have to apologize for.
- Decisions you trust yourself to make.
- Success you don't need in order to prove you're enough.
- More space for connection, joy, purpose, rest, love, and whatever you decide you want next.
And when life inevitably gives you something new to navigate? You meet it as the person you've become.
This is UNBOTHERED
I'm Colleen Latshaw, LMHC.
For more than 15 years, I've helped people create meaningful change in their lives. And there's something I wish more people knew:
Knowing why you feel the way you do isn't the same as changing it.
My approach integrates EMDR and evidence-based trauma therapy with visualization, nervous-system awareness, intuition, and deeper personal transformation work.
But the modality isn't the point. The change is.
I look for the connections others may miss, identify what's underneath the current problem, and help you work there. Because I don't want to help you become better at managing the same pattern forever. I want to help you change it.
